  most ex jws are bitter and twisted.

  they have a chip on their shoulder that they wasted so much of their life.

  many end up making a proper mess of their lives perfectly exemplified by lloyd evans.. yet on the other hand for those leaving the cult it is only ex members of the cult who could ever understand what they are going through .

  although i broke any last links to the cult in 1981..i came across this online world of ex jws by accident--i certainly wasnt looking for it--having long since rinsed the last remaining religious dirt out of my mind long before.

  Ive met up with a fair few ex's here in the UK since joining this site in 2010, Ive come to realise most of us have nothing in common--except our past misery. Not a good start !

  Ive also noticed a lot of female ex jws still carry the health problems they had as jw's. But it seems a lot of it is imaginary.

  When did you see realise James Lloyd Evans was a wrongun?

  i remember him on this site when he was called cedars and had jw survey.. straightaway i noticed he could not accept suggestions.. the time i knew he was dangerous was when his group aawa added people to their fb group without their permission and were outed.. he refused to close the fb page (whilst celebrating 1300 members joining in a few days).

  one member complained and was subsequently disfellowshipped, which could easily have been avoided.. three week's after launching, the fb page was closed down.

  from that moment i knew james lloyd evans was dangerous.. when did you realise he not good?.

  i cant say i took any interest in him--now or when he was cedars. I was enrolled on that AAWA facebook site--it didnt bother me--if it was as stan livedeath--obviously a made up username, then no-one could trace me anyway.

  Phizzy8 hours agoI remember Graham Carmichael, he did have a sense of humour ! and not the practiced/scripted jokes the C.O says at every Congregation, and his poor wife has to force a snigger !

  Graham's wife was Honor, and it was her side that made me realise back then that most circos had family money behind them..in this case it was the circos wife that came from a wealthy family. They used to stay at my parents house while i was still living at home.

  The more recent stayer they had was Ken Richmond. But i was married then and had my own place. I played host to Bevan Vigo back then.

  i thought this fellow, not sure if he is pimo or pomo, who goes by the name anonymous, gives a fair opinion summary.. "i was a jw for many years, but generally not a particularly stellar example of one.

  throughout my working life ive had various jobs that involved going to see all manner of people in their own homes.

  For some reason my 6th sense could tell me when it was a JW household.

  I dunno what it was--the absence of tobacco smoke ? Cheap second hand furniture ? Or maybe it was the Watchtower calendar on the wall ( do they still have those ? ). It might have been all those colourful bound books on the bookshelf ?

  revelation 21:2 i also saw the holy city, new jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from god and prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.. hebrews 11:10 for he (abraham) was awaiting the city having real foundations, whose designer and builder is god.. revelation 21:24 and the nations will walk by means of its light, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it.. revelation 22:1 and he showed me a river of water of life, clear as crystal, flowing out from the throne of god and of the lamb 2 down the middle of its main street (of the holy city).

  The WTBT$ banned Kosonen because he won't worship the GB.
  Kosonen chooses to follow Christ instead of men, and he's doing what he thinks is right.
  When he shares scriptures, it's because he loves God and people, not because of "counting time." He is sincere.

  It just seems wrong bouncing bible quotes around on an Ex JW site. How would he like it if i kept on spouting foul language in reply ?

  2 circos i remember from the 60's Birmingham UK area:

  Graham Carmichael--a very funny Glaswegian who could really drink

  Oliver McDonald--very strange man. Like a character out of Charles Dickens.

  Any advice for my situation?

  hey, this community was so helpful last time i didnt know how to handle a situation years ago, and here i am all theae years later back on here asking for some advice again on how to handle a certain situation with my kids.

  little bit of backstory.. i'm an non jw, been divorced from my ex wife (practicing jw) for about 6 years now.

  have 3 kids 7, 10, 13. .

  ignore the comments from txnv sue--he/she is just a recently arrived shit stirring troll.

  You need to find the best lawyer you can afford. The cult will try to turn your kids against you--take that from one who lost 2 of his kids that way--many years ago. I have grandchildren ive never met--dont even know their names.

  JWs unrecognisable compared to my grandfathers time

  my grandfather who has been dead for 37 years would not recognise the borganisation today.

  he would turn in his grave if he knew the end didn’t come by 2023.. back in the 1970s he really believed in the 75 thing.

  he was so disappointed and almost blamed everyone else why the end didn’t come.

  i remember that--i hadnt long passed my driving test and drove from Brum down to london--in the family ford 100E--fearless at that age.

  i remember Gnaw kept repeating the phrase " you must not forget "--i still remember that, but i havent a tits clue what else he said. forget"
